Itinerary 8 days, 7 nights
Day 1 – Arrive in Naples Enjoy the ride and view on your way to Herculanum, the sister city of Pompei. After our guided tour through the city we head south to the Villa La Ginestra in Castel San Lorenzo where we’ll be spending the next 5 nights. Settle in and join us for your welcome dinner. (D)
Day 2 – National Park of Cilento
Step back in time where we will hike “the Realm of the Otter” an old aqueduct, ruins of watermills and symbol of the national park, the famous medieval bridge, one of the best preserved in the area. Then to a classic 5 course Sunday lunch. Back to the villa to rest. (B,L,)
Day 3 – Valley of Diano by Horse
We are going horseback riding, starting in San Rufo and ending in the Monastery of Padula. This UNESCO Heritage site is a fantastic example of what Italy is all about, a mix of monks and conquerors. After our ride and tour we head back to the villa for dinner. (B,D)***
Day 4 – Paestum & Cilento Coast
First we stop for breakfast at the mozzarella factory. Then we take to the sea by boat* to see scenic Amalfi and Cilento coast, have lunch on the water. Then back to the villa for the evening, cocktails and Dinner. (B,L,D).
Day 5 – Free Day
You can rest up in the villa for a day to relax or choose to explore on our own. (B)***
Day 6 – Mt. Vesuvius
Say goodbye to the Villa. We are heading to Mt. Vesuvius to climb right to the top! We’ll have a private guide show us the crater, then hike down. Now off to the Amalfi coast where we will be spending the next two nights. (B,D)***
Day 7 – Path of the Gods
Some of the most spectacular views in the world you will experience on this 4 hour hike over Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi. After our hike, we will meet for our last meal together. Free night (B,L).
Day 8 – Goodbye Breakfast
