Itinerary

Day 1: Monday – WELCOME TO ISRAEL
Day 2: Tuesday – JERUSALEM, WHERE ANCIENT MEETS MODERN
Day 3: Wednesday – ALONG THE MEDITERRANEAN COASTLINE
Day 4: Thursday – THE ISRAELI WINE COUNTRY
Day 5: FRIDAY – JEWISH SPIRITUALITY IN THE GALILEE
Day 6: SATURDAY – SHABBAT IN TZFAT
- 3pm Meet Akiva Gersh, the Vegan Rabbi at the hotel lobby
- Check in to your hotel EVE
- Festive welcome dinner and welcome session at a local restaurant
- Overnight: Brown Machne Yehuda Hotel, Jerusalem
Day 2: Tuesday – JERUSALEM, WHERE ANCIENT MEETS MODERN
- AM Breakfast at the hotel
- Optional morning tour of the Jewish Quarter; explore the rooftops, cardo and the Western Wall
- PM Tour and tasting at the famous Machne Yehuda open-market. Sample a variety of local vegan delicacies and meet the vendors Meet with a Vegan MK, Miki Haimovitch, and learn about the ‘Meatless Monday’ initiative she spearheaded in the Knesset, including her other environmental efforts
- EVE Dinner with the JLM Food Rescuers, learn about their sustainable model of food rescue and zero waste
- Overnight: Brown Machne Yehuda Hotel, Jerusalem
Day 3: Wednesday – ALONG THE MEDITERRANEAN COASTLINE
- AM Breakfast and check out of your hotel
- Climate action: Meet Eran Rogel founder of Threellion, plant a tree, and learn why trees are a key in combating combat climate change and biodiversity loss
- PM Lunch on your own Visit the Freedom Farm Sanctuary; meet the co-founder and Israeli vegan activist Adit Romano who establish this farm to help people reconnect with their intrinsic compassion for all living beings
- Sunset walk at the Habonim Nature Reserve overlooking the Mediterranean
- Check in to your hotel EVE Free evening and dinner on your own
- Overnight: Eden Inn Hotel, Zichron Yaakov
Day 4: Thursday – THE ISRAELI WINE COUNTRY
- AM Breakfast at the hotel Mountain biking or hiking across Rothschild Gardens; view an Ottoman farm, a fortified Herodian Palace and the Tzur spring and ancient bathhouse
- PM Picnic lunch outdoors Tour and wine tasting at the award-winning Somek Winery; this winery specializes in vegan wine that is made using no animal-derived ingredients!
- Afternoon session with Akiva
- EVE Free evening and dinner on your own
- Overnight: Eden Inn Hotel, Zichron Yaakov
Day 5: FRIDAY – JEWISH SPIRITUALITY IN THE GALILEE
- AM Breakfast and check out of the hotel
- Drive to Tzfat; Walking tour of Tzfat, the mystical city of the Galilee, including a visit to the Ari and Caro ancient synagogues
- PM Lunch on your own
- Check in to your hotel Musical Kabblat Shabbat with Akiva

- Drive to Tel Aviv; Meet a vegan food tech company to learn about their groundbreaking technology in cellular agriculture

- Visit the Shafdan, a waste water treatment plant that prevents the contamination of the Mediterranean Sea

- EVE Dinner on your own
- Overnight: Bobo Hotel, Tel Aviv
Day 8: MONDAY – URBAN SUSTAINABILITY
- AM Breakfast at the hotel
- Optional participant-led morning yoga class
- Climate Action: Volunteer in a beach cleanup with Zalul, hear about their efforts to protect the Mediterranean Sea
- PM Lunch on your own
- Visit the Naked Market with Talya Herring, the founder of Zevel Rebel, discuss zero waste and learn about how this store is leading the way forward in sustainable shopping
- Meet Tabea & Mati Oppliger, the founders of Kitepride, an NGO that creates one- of-a-kind bags from up cycled surfing and sailing gear, and provides jobs for survivors of human trafficking. With a chance to design your own bag!

Day 9: TUESDAY – FARWELL & LE’HITRAOT

- Meet Omri Paz, the founder and CEO of Vegan Friendly Trip reflections and sikkum
- EVE Farewell dinner with a vegan chef
- Take the train to the airport and check in to your international flight back home
Tour Includes
Not Included • Flights. • Travel insurance. • Any public transportation fees during the program. • Transportation in evenings when dinner is on own. • Amendments to the program: In the event that any sites, programs or meals etc. are added to the program, an additional fee may be required. • Any guests at meals or activities. • Personal extras: Items of personal nature such as laundry, wines, mineral water, beverages, coffee, tea, food other than the table d’hotel menu, passport and visa fees, insurance, and foreign port taxes, unless otherwise specified. • Water and snacks on the bus. • Luggage: All tour packages allow one pieces per person and one carry-on bag. Excess luggage will be subject to a charge of up to $100 per piece. Magnolia will not be held responsible for any damage to or loss of luggage/personal items. All damage/loss must be reported at time of incident and documented in writing by local authorities for submission to the insurance company. • US and foreign airport taxes, fuel surcharge and border taxes when applicable. • Value Added Tax is not included in our proposal and is currently not applicable to tourists visiting Israel.
